Will is a shareholder at SSP Law, whose primary practice focuses on commercial finance and real estate. Will has a wide range of experience representing regional and national financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in all aspects of commercial lending, including construction loans, real estate loans, syndicated/participation loans and other asset-based lending. He also regularly assists clients with real estate transactions – advising clients on the full range of a transaction from due diligence, title matters, financing, and acquisition matters, to development, construction, leasing, operation and eventual disposition of the asset – with representative transactions ranging from large mixed-use, office, industrial, medical, retail and commercial properties to distressed assets and single-family residential properties. Will's diverse list of clients include financial institutions, mezzanine lenders, businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, franchisees, restaurateurs, and developers, and range from Fortune 500 Companies to individuals.
Will joined SSP in 2014, after graduating law school and has further developed his practice after obtaining his Master of Business Administration in 2015. Will's business background allows him to approach legal issues from a unique perspective, with the ability to quickly understand a client's practical business concerns and tailor legal solutions accordingly.
While in law school, Will served as a judicial extern for a Federal Judge in the Southern District of Ohio and externed with a New York City based real estate developer responsible for major projects, including the Cosmopolitan Casino in Las Vegas. As a student volunteer with UC's Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic during law school, Will also counseled local start-ups and non-profits, and now volunteers as an attorney advisor for current ECDC students.
Will lives in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati with his wife and their Weimaraner. During his free time, Will enjoys fishing, skiing, and hiking.
